I was making some tabs for a project today and thought I would share them with you :)  These are made to be folded in half.  They are white with a black border so that you can use the file with your cameo and the background is white on the PDF and JPG.  The coloured background below is only for display purposes.

When I came to my computer today, I wanted to create a few freebies I thought you might like.  Then I remembered I was decorating some envelopes for mail art.  Here are a few I created for return addresses or ship to addresses.  They are all 3 x 4".

Christmas Tree Is Up!

Our grand daughter Meylann always decorates our tree!  It looks just like last year, but I love it!

My son got this from his kindergarten teacher 35 years ago.  Some things you just can't part with!

I arrived last night at 12:00 midnight!  Didn't get out of customs until 1:30.  But I am home and happy to be back!

Cut My Hair

I finally got sick of my long hair and had it chopped off yesterday! I am still trying to learn to style it but it is hard after long hair!

I hope I learn how to do it soon.... it looked fabulous when the hairdresser did it!

Homesick - Coming Home

I have been away from home since October 12, 2014.  We left Vancouver on October 18 and arrived in Yuma on October 24th.

We went to Mexico a few days ago!  That was a real treat!

There is my sister and I.  "The Mint" in Mexico greet you with drinks!  I don't like beer.. lol!

This has been a wonderful holiday however I am homesick and will be returning home on December 5th.  I sure miss hubby and my kids!

I never did any art at all the whole time I have been away!  We have been busy!  I can't wait to get back to my art room!

I will be making videos real soon!

Away For A While

I am leaving on Sunday October 12, 2014 for Vancouver, BC to travel with my sister and hubby in their motor home to Yuma, AZ.

I will be back March 2015 or maybe before, if I get homesick!  lol

Back In Hospital - Sept. 28/14 - UPDATE!!

I got my results today and all is well. No cancer! Prayers have been answered!
So I am off to Yuma, AZ soon!

 I was back in hospital with a problem breathing again.  Went to emergency and they did lots of tests and I was told I had fluid between the lining and the lung.  A Pleura Effusion.

I was sent home on Monday and had to go back on Thursday for  thoracentesis.  Now is the waiting game... 10 days for them to find out if there is cancer in the fluid they took out.

I was supposed to be leaving for Vancouver on the 8th of October and head to Yuma, AZ with my sister and hubby in their motor home, but all that is off now.  I don't feel well enough to go.

I pray all is well with my tests!

Monica (bcdoula on YouTube) and I Met

I have been following Monica on YouTube for many years and we finally got together for lunch on Friday!  How exciting!

So when we sat down for lunch it took us 45 minutes to order!  We just couldn't stop talking with each other and in such a short amount of time, I felt we had known each other for years!

We finally ordered lunch and overall we chatted for 3 hours and I'm sure we could have talked for another 3 hours!

Note To Self

Having fun with Photshop! I can't tell you how much I love to create clean.  I don't have to worry about clean-up or using up supplies.  I wanted to try a photo to sketch and I created it at 8.50" x 11" so it can be printed.

Air Buns - For Monica (bcdoula)

I was watching Monica's YouTube video (Kaiser Rolls) HERE.  I tried these the next day but my yeast was old so they didn't rise like they should have, but tasted awesome!

When I mentioned Air Buns, Monica said she hadn't ever heard about them before.

I had just made them a few months ago....So Monica, here is my handed down recipe:

AIR BUNS

2 TBLS Yeast or 2 pkgs:

Soak in 2 cups lukewarm water with 1 tsp. Sugar

3-1/2 cups Lukewarm water:

Dissolve 1/2 cup Sugar

1 tsp. salt

1/2 cup shortening

Add yeast mixture and 1 tbls. vinegar and add 10 cups flour

1.  Let rise for 2 hours in buttered bowl.

2.  Kneed down and rise for 1 more hour.

3.  Kneed down and put in pans (I roll the dough in the palms of my hand to form a small bun) and let rise for 2 more hours.

Bake at 370-400 for 15 - 20 minutes.

Makes about 36 Buns.

These are so soft, they melt in your mouth.

Painting Deli Paper

We went out to a buffet for Easter dinner with our family tonight.  The food was awesome.  I really enjoyed the turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy.  The dressing was very good too!  I hope you all had a wonderful day with your family!

When we got back from dinner, I watched Patti Parrish on YouTube and she inspired me to paint some deli papers for washi tape.  I didn't have the full sheet labels to glue the strips down to so I used printer paper.  I can glue them down as I need them, but I would have preferred to have the label sheets!

I thought I would share the painted deli papers I painted tonight.  I will have photos tomorrow when I make them into washi tape:)

Love Teddy Becomes Teddy Love

After looking at my collage painting, I decided there were things I didn't like.  So I did more painting!

She needed arms to hold her teddy and after that I decided I didn't like her dress so I painted that too!  Yikes!  Almost a complete makeover.... -:)  I did put words on her....

I can move on to the next thing now.

I was working in my art journal again yesterday and finished her last night.  I couldn't scan her in until today but I wanted to share -:)  You will notice I am not a journaler!  So I guess this is my "Artbook".  lol

Songbird Painting

I am still working on painting faces and backgrounds.  Today I finished another face but not part of any class.  I call her Songbird.  I love the way this one turned out.  I traced this face:

I don't take the greatest photos due to lack of light, so she was scanned in two parts because my art journal is huge!  So here is the first half of her, which I thought was pretty.
